California State Chapter
The California Chapter of NSDTA was organized in 1996 following the
1995 NSDTA annual conference in
San Francisco
. Organizers were interested in providing a forum for
discussion of staff development and training issues at a statewide
level. Chapter membership is open to anyone involved with training,
consulting or managing staff development and training in public
service agencies in
California
counties.
Activities
of the chapter are directed by a Board consisting of 12-18 persons.
Board meetings are held every other month to plan chapter activities
and events. An annual membership meeting is held--usually in conjunction
with a networking and training event. In addition to the
annual meeting,
the chapter provides 2 training events per year in Spring and
Fall. Events are planned from a survey of members and have
included such events as Diversity Training, An Introduction to the
ADDIE model, Transfer of Learning, and Training for Trainers.
